Calaway Park

What a crazy, fun day we had.  Calgary has a little mini Lagoon just 20 mins away from us called Calaway Park.  We ended up buying Season Tickets a few months ago because it was only a couple of bucks more than a one day trip.  And after our first visit we've decided it was worth every penny.

The kids had a BLAST!!!  They had sections all set up for big kids and little kids so everyone could have fun.

Sicily and Phoenix had their very own little kids bumper cars, and London and Aspen had the big kids ones.  I found this very smart of the Park owners,  because that way everyone was safe and had a good time.  Sici and Phoenix rode these cars about 6 times in a row.  It was raining off and on all day so there weren't a lot of people, it was great.
Phoenix was rather brave on some rides and not so brave on others.  But he happily controlled this airplane up and down, though he wasn't too thrill with the random little girl that had to sit behind him.
Aspen and Sici got to share their own little Bi-Plane.  You gotta zoom in on Sicily's face.  That's her, "I'm so stinking excited I can't smile any bigger" crazy smile.  Cracks me up.
Aspen, of course, was the bravest of the day.  She just passed the main height restriction for every ride, by only an inch.  So there was nothing to stop her.  Jared was more than happy to take her on all the crazy stuff.  London went on about half of them, but not this one.  Aspen and Jared are in one of those cars.  All I remember of this ride was my brother, Evan, dragging me onto the one at Lagoon in Utah and my brother, Guy, laughing hysterically when we came out because I screamed the ENTIRE time.  All they could hear from the ground was AAUUGGHH...aauugghh...AAUUGGHH...aauugghh...AAUUGGHH.  You get the picture.
Sicily ended up being a bit more brave than I thought she'd be.  Though she's short, a lot of the rides she could go on with someone taller.  London happily helped her out there.  Look at this thing!  There were a few others like this that London and Sicily went on again and again.  Though Sicily's tummy gave out in the end, no puking but just about.
So when everyone's tummy's were done for the day we got the train all to ourselves and posed for this cute little picture.  All in all a good family day.
