We were just about to leave and came across a man that was fishing. He looked like he was packing up so we asked him if he'd caught anything. He said he had, but it was down the hill. He'd had caught a fish and was about to go down the hill to get it when he saw and alligator coming up. He decided, very smart like, to let the gator have his fish. I looked down the hill to see an 8 ft alligator sneaking up on the already dead fish. After he ate it the alligator just hung out, figuring he'd stay around and get another free meal. It was straight out of National Geographics!
I could not believe this Park. You can camp there and everything. There's signs all over the place telling you "Do not approach or Feed the Alligators." DUH!! Phoenix was absolutely freaked out the entire time. London and Aspen want to go fishing there, but Aspen is not about to camp there, afraid an alligator will come in her tent at night. :)
