This kids came running inside from school today to inform me there was a dead bird under our window. I said, "Don't touch it," thinking it'd be all nasty like dead bird usually are. But they made me come out and see. I think it must have ran into our window or something. Looks like it may have just layed down and died. Poor thing.
Does anyone know what kind of bird this is?

Sadly it may have died from it's own reflection in your window. in the spring, the males get really protective of their turf and can kill themselves from trying to attack their own reflections! Poor thing!
